About Maria
Music has been at the heart of my life since childhood. I began studying singing and piano at the age of six, later adding music theory, history and choir conducting. By my late teens I had discovered classic jazz recordings and fallen in love with the natural creativity and emotional freedom of this music — a passion that has guided my career ever since.
After years of formal jazz education and countless live performances, I now make my home in Devon and perform across the South West of England. I’ve sung with various jazz bands and vocal ensembles, appeared at international festivals, and taught singing to children and adults.
Today my focus is on creating unforgettable live experiences for weddings and special events. I believe in the beauty of live instruments and the simple, genuine sound that only real musicians can bring. Whether performing with an intimate duo or a vibrant five-piece band, I aim to fill every celebration with warmth, elegance and true emotion.

Step 2: We’ll discuss whether you’d like a duo, trio, quartet or five-piece band. I’ll then send you a custom quote.
Step 3: Once you’re happy with the quote, I’ll send a booking form where you can share details like your venue, key contacts and song preferences.
Step 4: I’ll issue an invoice for a non-refundable deposit. As soon as it’s received, your booking is confirmed!
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due four weeks before your big day.
Step 2: We’ll discuss whether you’d like a duo, trio, quartet or five-piece band. I’ll then send you a custom quote.
Step 3: Once you’re happy with the quote, I’ll send a booking form where you can share details like your venue, key contacts and song preferences.

Absolutely! If you’d like us to dress in line with your theme - Gatsby, Peaky Blinders, or anything else — I’ll do my best to accommodate your vision.
You’ll need five songs:
- One entrance song (aisle walk)
- Three songs for the signing of the register (can be shortened)
- One exit song (your big newlywed moment)
Yes, you’re welcome to use my sound system. I’ll make sure everything runs seamlessly so your guests hear every word.
Of course! I’d love to help make this possible. Let me know in advance so I can prepare. I can provide backing tracks, or the pianist/band can accompany live.
A reliable power source is essential. For outdoor setups, we also need adequate shelter in case of extreme weather - to protect both the musicians and the equipment.
This depends on the ensemble size, but at least 3 square metres is required. Outdoor setups also need shelter in case of bad weather.
I’m based in South Devon, and perform weddings across the South West. Travel expenses are included in custom quotes.
